When I saw this picture I was reminded of the times when my thoughts were not as positive as I would have liked them to be and I felt I was spiraling downward into an abyss. When you loose the control and power over your own life, you literally feel out of flow.
On one occasion, I was so negative, my oldest son Seth, who is 9 and somewhat of a sage-if you ask me- told me: “Mom- remember what you always tell me. Only think of what you want.” At that moment in time, I was complaining about bills and other stuff that came into my life and instead of handling it like I usually do- which is in a peaceful state, focusing on the end result- I let the negative frequency envelop me and my emotions were out of whack!
So this little wise person reminded me of the very things I had taught him, but had forgotten. I know it is much easier to just cry about it and become consumed by the situations that we live in. Since it is very hard to feel abundance when you can barely make by from month to month. But the trick is to shift this awareness of lack and focus on all the wonderful things you do possess: health, children, a roof over your head, food, loving pets, a magnificent sunset (which are always free!), a rainbow, the love of our partner, and there are many many more things to be grateful for.
Just so you can see how the power of words and imagination can literally make your dreams come true, my son Seth, who has always dreamed of being a professional soccer player was scouted and admitted into the MLS Chicago Fire Academy team! He is on his path of hopefully one day becoming a professional soccer player! It is important to teach our children and those around us that they are more powerful than what society makes us think we are. Whatever happens, at least Seth is getting to live this experience, which he himself has created (along with hard work) and believing in himself. Hey- who knows- he may be the next Cristiano Ronaldo and play for his favorite football club- Real Madrid!
So when we focus on what we have and think only of what we would like to have more of and our emotions shift to those of gratitude, then we will then begin to receive more of what we desire.
Don’t let your negative thoughts hold you back! Reject them and replace them with positive thoughts and see how quickly your emotions and life shifts.
